Emma has joined the bunch as our new Marketing Apprentice.
After two long years of completing my A-Levels, I decided on an Apprenticeship. With this, I knew I’d be able to gain a qualification while benefiting from the rewarding nature of a full-time job – experience is key! This led me to Rambutan, where I’m currently one of the two newest bunch members, joining the team as a Marketing Apprentice.
Meeting members of the team at my interviews, I was straight away drawn to how friendly and welcoming both the environment and the people were. I’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting the whole bunch for my first team day, which was a great chance for introductions and getting to know everyone I’ll be working closely with. This gave me the opportunity to delve deeper into the culture, learn more about members of the bunch and put into practice the Rambutan values we all hold dear.
While I’ve only been here a month, it feels like I’ve been here forever (positively I mean!). I‘ve already learnt so much through the extensive knowledge of my team members; ranging from Sue’s expertise in Marketing and Kat being my graphic design guru, to Tracy’s knowledge on all things finance (especially excel spreadsheets). There’s been lots to learn, and I’ve taken this in my stride and given everything my best shot.
One of the first few things I learnt was how to use our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. This has been a monumental challenge and even though this was time-consuming and tiring, I felt a huge amount of pride when I was finally able to send out my own email campaign to prospective clients.
Ellie (the other new apprentice) and I have been thrown in at the deep end, but it’s definitely helped us to find our footing quickly. We’ve been tasked with how to improve aspects of Rambutan, aiding us in getting to know not only the people, but how important the culture is and how everyone is here to not only help clients but support each other.
I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Kat to create and design client workbooks and presentations. This has been a fun challenge, as Canva and Indesign are new software to me. I may not be the best (yet), however, I’m learning – who doesn’t like to have a new skill under their belt!
I’m now looking forward to visiting clients, as I’ll be able to see the consultants in action. I’m truly excited to see how I’ll grow here at Rambutan and the knowledge I’ll gain from all the bunch.
