This time last year Craig was very brave and shared his letter to Santa with the world…well, with our blog readers! You can read it here. As Craig reflects on the year and roasts his chestnuts on an open fire, he thought he’d share his latest letter to the big red guy.
Santa, It’s me again, Craig. I hope you and the family are well and that you’re fighting fit for a busy Christmas Eve. I, as always, have been an angel this year and therefore I’m looking forward to seeing what you leave me.
Last year Santa I had a few requests, some of which I can smile about and some of which are still outstanding, so I thought I’d give you a progress report of how a few of my requests have gone.
1. a quicker, easier way to lose weight. I’ve been working hard at this all year. Like you, I’m a fuller man. Unlike you, I look crap in a red suit
hmmm…well, a bit up and down to be honest. Was my motivation really there? Maybe if I’m honest with myself I wasn’t 100% committed to this. Don’t judge me, I have my reasons. 2017 though, I’m all over this!
2. more drums. Yes, I do need more drums!
to be honest I exceeded my own expectations on this one and will continue to do so throughout 2017
3. to choose to remember to live every day like I want to create a fabulous memory for others and myself
Now then, to say 2016 has had some challenges is the biggest understatement of the year. I have taken this request, shaken it up and wrung it dry. Not always easy, but I made my choice that no matter what was thrown at me during 2016 I would create fabulous memories for myself and others. I will also continue to do this throughout 2017. Why would I choose not to?
So, there you go Santa, surely I deserve some quite insane gifts, but, you know what…I have what I want and I’m happy (cue the Oscar nominations), so this coming year can you please help more people live number 3 for themselves and others?
And if you could leave me a bottle of expensive Gin and some very cool vinyl I’ll keep believing in you, like every good Jewish boy should.
