It’s crucial, both in getting your voice heard and general workplace etiquette that you show interest in other people and their ideas and the best way to do that is by asking questions. This could range from asking after someone’s well-being to asking for feedback or more information on an idea that’s been raised. Showing an interest in someone goes hand in hand with listening to them when they reply, which will hopefully encourage other people to listen to you. However, there is such a thing as asking too many questions, so make sure you find the right balance between being genuinely interested and chief interrogating officer.

If you want to make sure everyone remembers what it is you’re trying to say, then you need to make it crystal clear. To do this, once you’ve raised your point, clarify it, ask for questions and feedback.
